At Swim Stars Swim School we offer limited classes for children with a special need or disability.

Anne, our qualified specialist instructor has many years experience teaching students with special needs and disabilities including learning delays, problems with auditory processing, Autism, Downs Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy.

Each student is assessed and a program structured to meet their needs. We endeavour to mainstream our special needs students whenever possible. Private classes are recommended if we can best meet your child’s needs by one to one tuition.

Our Special Needs program is based on the Austswim recommended Halliwick 10 point program which has been successfully used to teach children for many years. The program is non threatening and students progress at their own rate.

We will ensure that each child is treated with dignity and respect. Our pool area is quiet and does not have the distractions larger centres have. This enables our students to concentrate and learn.

At Swim Stars Swim School we offer information and advice to families in obtaining (where possible) financial assistance or funding grants for your child’s swim program.
